You can think of your website as a book.
Books must have a title, as they are easier to talk about.

In books, it is also important that the title reflects the content.
It is unacceptable if a book called "Murder in the dark" but really is a romantic novel about heartache.
The same applies to websites.
If your site is about plants and trees, this of course also should be reflected in the page title.
Books have chapters.
And these chapters also have titles.
Imagine your website's subpages as chapters.
The content of these pages should also be reflected in the page's title.
If one of your website's subpages about birch trees, it would be inappropriate if the title contains information on softwoods.
It is important to keep the titles short and precise and with a few characters (preferably not more than 70 incl. Spaces) |
